Privacy & Your Data
Last updated April 24, 2026
DashingHR was built by one person who respects HR practitioners and the sensitive data they work with every day. Here's exactly what happens when you use these tools.
Your data never leaves your browser.
Every tool on DashingHR runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. When you type a name, title, salary, or any other information into an OrgChart Studio card or any other tool, that information stays on your computer. It is not transmitted to DashingHR, not stored on any server, and not sent to any third party.
This applies to every tool in DashingHR — OrgChart Studio, Nine Box Studio, and all future tools. None of them send your input to AI, none of them save to our servers, and none of them transmit anything externally. Everything you type, upload, or arrange stays on your computer and in your browser's memory until you close the tab or clear it yourself.
There are no accounts, no logins, no signups.
You don't create a profile. We don't know who you are. We can't look up anything you've entered because there is nothing to look up.
The Save button downloads a file to your computer.
When you click Save in a tool, it creates a .json file that your browser downloads to your local machine. That file never touches a server. When you click Open, you're selecting a file from your own computer and loading it back into the browser. Only you ever see it.
No AI is involved when you use the tools.
DashingHR tools are static HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files. They are not connected to AI systems. They do not send your data to Anthropic, OpenAI, or any AI provider. The tools were built using AI assistance, but the tools themselves are standard web pages.
What the hosting provider sees.
DashingHR is hosted by Netlify, a standard web hosting service. Like any website host, Netlify's servers see basic technical information when your browser loads a page — your IP address, the time of the visit, and which page you loaded. Netlify does not see anything you type into a tool, because nothing you type is ever sent to a server.
What I see.
I don't have a user database, an analytics dashboard, or any way to look up what people have built. The only information I ever see from DashingHR users is when someone emails me directly through hello@dashinghr.com.
Can I use these tools with real employee data?
That's your call based on your company's policies, but technically yes — the data stays on your computer. Many HRBPs use these tools with real names and salaries to prepare for leadership conversations. Nothing leaves the browser. That said, if your company has policies restricting where employee data can be entered, this page should help you make the case that DashingHR is a closed local environment.
Questions? Email me at hello@dashinghr.com — I built this and I answer every message.
